CHT (Chunghwa Telecom) recently announced with ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) that they will jointly develop a new enterprise video platform to establish a commercial SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, to be integrated into CHT's HiNet internet services, Economic Daily News reported on July 25. Other than allowing enterprises to operate their own OTT (Over-The-Top) channels, the new platform also enables them to conduct internal education and training, and learn how to do live webcasts within a short period of time. CHT expects the new enterprise video platform will generate NTD 3 billion (USD100 million; USD 1= NTD 30.6) in revenues from insurance, tutorial, media, and publishing industries.
